George Treier

George Treier is a recognized expert in identifying
media needs for a wide range of reprographic
equipment, assessing mills for reprographic paper
production suitability and capability: converting,
packaging and shipping, designing reprographic
media, identifying testing and quality assurance,
problem identification and troubleshooting.

George is the former Senior Paper Technologist and
Principal Engineer, Xerox Corporation, where he
initiated and implemented ground breaking mill
qualification, quality assurance and reprographic
paper design and development programs. He was the
main driver in developing numerous new products
for reprographic equipment.

During his 37 years at Xerox, visited and
benchmarked nearly every significant fine paper mill
and converting facility in North America, as well as
many in Europe, Latin America and Asia.

A long term member of TAPPI, he served as chairman
of the Sheeting Committee and presented numerous
papers at various technical and industry
conferences. Managed paper and media links to
upstream reprographic machine programs globally,
tracked technological and economic developments in
paper and related industries and worked closely with
reprographic machine design teams.

Prior to Xerox, he was with P.H. Glatfelter, leading
book and specialty papers manufacturer, in various
technical assignments

He holds a degree in Paper Science from the State
University of New York, College of Environmental
Science and Forestry.
