Merilyn Dunn

Merilyn Dunn was a Director of InfoTrends, Inc.,
formerly CAP Ventures, with more than 20 years
experience researching and advising paper and
other media producers, peripheral manufacturers,
and distributors. She has extensive knowledge of the
printing and communication paper industries and has
worked with virtually all leading global OEM, paper
and forms manufacturers. She is a regular speaker at
key industry events, widely quoted, and has authored
numerous articles on significant paper industry
trends.

At InfoTrends, she further developed the
methodology to forecast current and future supplies
demand in relation to the installed base of supplies-
consuming equipment and constructed unified
models to estimate demand by vertical, geographic,
distribution channels, site size and operating
environments. She initiated the annual cut size
survey to refine the forecast process.

Before joining what was then CAP Ventures, she was
a Senior Industry Analyst with the Hard Copy Supplies
Service at BIS Strategic Decisions where she
managed the supplies forecasting process. Prior to
BIS Strategic Decisions, Ms. Dunn developed end-to-
end MIS systems for Accounting, Quality Control,
Inventory Control—(including automatic ordering
processes, receiving, recording, fulfillment, and
payment applications)—for organizations in both the
private and public sectors, teaching and training
system users of IBM and DEC computers.

She is a graduate of Fitchburg State College with dual
majors in English and social studies secondary
education.
